Carhartt Clothing Care InstructionsWe recommend you first refer to your care label on the inside of the garment for specific instructions. If the care label has been removed, you may find these instructions useful. Locate the item requiring laundering from the list below and refer to the instructions for that item. The following clothing care instructions apply generally for Carhartt workwear clothing. For flame-resistant clothing and other special items, please refer to the specific directions included below. Carhartt t-shirts, jackets/coats, canvas shorts and pants, duck shorts and pants, shirt jac, woven shirts, thermal underwear, bib overalls Wash warm, do not bleach. Tumble dry medium. Remove from dryer promptly. Carhartt jeans, shorts and sweats Wash cold, do not bleach. Tumble dry medium. Remove from dryer promptly. Carhartt coveralls Wash cold, do not bleach. Tumble dry with no heat or hang to drip dry. Remove from dryer promptly. Carhartt caps Hand wash cold, do not bleach. Care For Carhartt Water Repellant WorkwearMany of our garments are treated to provide water repellency, including Carhartt traditional duck garments. While they may be laundered according to the instructions above, the fabric must be retreated after one to three washings to maintain its water repellant feature. There are several products on the market you can use to retreat your Carhartt water repellant workwear, usually available at your local grocery or hardware store. Follow the instructions on the bottle when applying. Care For Carhartt Flame-Resistant ClothingTo maintain the thermal protective properties of Carhartt flame-resistant clothing,
first identify the type of fabric of the workwear item below, then please follow the
laundering instructions for the fabric. Machine wash warm at temperature not to exceed 160°F (70°C). Do not use chlorine
bleach, hydrogen peroxide bleach, softeners or starch. Tumble dry low, remove promptly.
